The account has no remaining credits or reached its spending limit, so requests are rejected (often as 429).

This isn’t a rate limit — waiting won’t help. Add credits, raise the monthly limit, or switch to a key/project with budget.

  • Monthly spend limit reached
  • Key belongs to a project/org without billing
  • New account without payment method
