Laravel: Vite manifest not found at: public/build/manifest.json
Laravel’s @vite directive can’t find the compiled asset manifest because assets weren’t built.

Meaning
In production Laravel reads public/build/manifest.json, created by npm run build. Deployments that skip the build step (or don’t upload public/build) fail with this error.
Common causes
npm run buildnot run on deploy- public/build ignored by git and not uploaded
- Dev server not running locally (
npm run dev)

npm ci && npm run buildduring deployment - Upload public/build to the server
- Locally, start
npm run dev
