Namespace not specified. Specify a namespace in the module's build file (AGP 8)
AGP 8 requires android { namespace = "…" } in each module’s build file; the package attribute in AndroidManifest.xml is no longer used.

Android
Meaning
Upgrading to AGP 8 or using old third-party modules (React Native/Flutter plugins) without a namespace breaks the build. Library authors must add it; you can patch locally.
Common causes
- Project upgraded to AGP 8 without adding namespace
- Old library/plugin module lacking namespace
- package attribute still in the manifest
⚡ Quick fix
- Add namespace to every module’s build.gradle
- Update the plugin/library to a version that declares it
- Remove package= from AndroidManifest.xml
Detailed fix by platform
Gradle
- kotlin
android { namespace = "com.example.app" }
How to diagnose
- Module — Which module is named?
- Library — Newer version available?
