flutter run: No connected devices found; check 'flutter doctor'. Expected at least one device
Flutter cannot see any emulator, simulator, browser or phone to run on.
No connected devices found; check 'flutter doctor'No supported devices connectedExpected at least one deviceadb device unauthorizedWaiting for another flutter command to release the startup lock Meaning
Start an emulator/simulator, or enable USB debugging on a phone and accept the authorisation prompt. Check flutter devices, adb devices (should say device, not unauthorized/offline), and for iOS that Xcode is set up. For Chrome/macOS desktop enable with flutter config --enable-web-chrome etc.
Common causes
- No emulator running
- USB debugging off or cable is charge-only
- Device shows unauthorized/offline
- Web/desktop support not enabled
- adb server stuck
⚡ Quick fix
- Launch an emulator from Android Studio or
flutter emulators --launch <id> - Accept the USB debugging prompt, then
adb kill-server && adb start-server - Enable platforms:
flutter config --enable-web
Detailed fix by platform
Flutter
flutter devicesandadb devices -l
How to diagnose
- Devices — flutter devices output?
- adb — device/unauthorized?
- Config — Platform enabled?
