Cloudflare DNS: An A, AAAA, or CNAME record with that host already exists (code 81053)
Cloudflare won’t create the record because another record of a conflicting type already uses that name.

Meaning
A CNAME can’t coexist with other records of the same name, and A/AAAA can’t coexist with a CNAME. Terraform/API scripts creating records that were added manually hit 81053/81057.
Common causes
- CNAME and A/AAAA for the same hostname
- Record created manually before Terraform/API
- Duplicate identical record
⚡ Quick fix
- Delete or edit the existing record first
- Import existing records into Terraform
- Use a different hostname
Detailed fix by platform
