Your DNS CNAME points to a hostname in another Cloudflare account, which Cloudflare blocks by default for security.
Seen on:
Cloudflare
Meaning
Pointing a custom domain at a SaaS provider on Cloudflare requires that provider to support Cloudflare for SaaS (custom hostnames). Otherwise cross-account CNAMEs are refused.
Common causes
- CNAME to a hostname in another Cloudflare account
- SaaS provider not using Cloudflare for SaaS
- Custom hostname not yet validated at the provider
⚡ Quick fix
- Ask the provider to add your hostname as a custom hostname
- Set the record to DNS-only (grey cloud) if the provider allows
- Use the provider’s documented setup
