Cloudflare Error 1004: Host Not Configured to Serve Web Traffic

The DNS record was just created or changed and Cloudflare hasn’t propagated it yet — or Spectrum/non-HTTP ports are involved.

Meaning

Usually temporary right after adding a record. If it persists, the record may be on a port/protocol not proxied for HTTP.

Common causes

  • Record created minutes ago
  • Non-standard port not supported by the proxy
  • Spectrum app configuration

  1. Wait a few minutes and retry
  2. Use a supported proxied port (80/443/8080/8443 etc.)
  3. Check Spectrum configuration
