Windows error 0x80070057 (The parameter is incorrect)
A Windows component received an invalid value — common in Windows Update, Backup, DISM (Error: 87) and disk formatting.

Meaning
E_INVALIDARG/ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER is generic. With DISM, “Error: 87” almost always means a typo in the command (missing space before /). With updates or backup, corrupt settings or a bad target drive are usual.
